Sorry I couldn’t get more in!
what is your favourite ‘poetry in action’ piece? (and how are you going to fix action and the issue of public transport and parking in canberra?)
Under the Liberals, will parking fees be set to effectively ration parking, maximise revenue or punish drivers in order to encourage public transport?
Will parking meters be upgraded to accept cards or at least notes? If not, will you at least be able to buy pre-paid parking vouchers for Civic in Civic?
Will flexible work arrangements be supported by offering pre-paid vouchers for non-consecutive days?
Can you do us all a favour and continue to reject any kind of partnership with the crackpot greens? Thanks in advance.

Jeremy, howzabout getting the gay marriage issue out of the way. Follow David Cameron’s lead and introduce gay marriage to the ACT. In fact, introduce the legislation while in opposition. The feds wont dare intervene, and you can occupy the high moral ground as it gets through. Your christian conservative constituents will get over it.
Given that Section 109 of the Constituion invalidates any law of a State which is inconsistent with a law of the Commonwealth, what steps will you take towards an amendment of the Marriage Act to enable ‘gay marriage’? Or will you bank on the legal loophole of the Constitution being silent on Territory’s regarding this issue and table an Act in the ACT LA?
How do you view the current split of government versus non-government employment in Canberra? Do you have any plans to try to change this? How and why?
1) Why has it been about 15 years since the ACT populace viewed the local Liberal party acting as a viable government, let alone a viable alternative government, and how will you address this?
2) What do you see as the four largest cross-border issues the ACT faces, and how will you adress those?
Bonus question: I have previously visited Whyalla and your Federal leader promised me that it would be gone by now. Why is it still standing, and what will you be doing at a local level to address this?
questions will be judged and sent at noon today as a nice little birthday present.
What are the Liberal principles that differentiate your party to that of Greens/Labor, and what vision for the ACT can you offer as a reflection of that?
What is the stance of the Libs on expanding Canberra Airport to make it the second Sydney Airport and the associated rail link that would be required

What would you do to make housing cheaper. Not easier to buy (land rent, etc.) but *cheaper*.
Given the cost of building materials and labour these days, the only way to make houses cheaper is to release land very cheaply indeed. And since the ACT govt relies on land sales as a substantial part of its revenue, it’s not going to happen.
Don’t have clue about what you are talking about, huh?
How about some sources there, pal?
Materials are incredibly cheap ATM
I’ve built more than one house and renovated several others, including recently. Materials that are ‘incredibly cheap’ are typically imported from China and are of very poor quality. Labour is getting cheaper, but it’s still expensive, especially when compared with OS.
How many houses have you built recently? Or major projects? Where do you get your information? Perhaps you could bring some actual facts or experience (or both) before throwing stones.
How about as recently as January?
3 in the last year.
I know you can get stuff very cheaply, but trust me – don’t.

I’d like the Liberal party behave more liberally and stop telling us what we’re allowed to eat, drink, smoke and inject.
But I suppose you support all Labor’s nanny state interventions?

OooO! OOooo! Me!!!!
1. Why did you attend the religious service when you are not religious? Does this mean you have no convictions whatsoever and are willing to do or say anything to curry favour?
2. What do you think of Tony Abbot’s intervention in the Gary/Jed stand off? Do you believe that this was a bad move by Tony because when Zed is elected, the people of Canberra will have a representative whom the entire Cabinet hates?

How would a Hanson Liberal government increase and diversify Canberra’s income base?
How will Canberrans get to and from work in 10, 20 and 30 years from now???
When will we see the sale of marijuana legalised, taxed and regulated?
“Justice” in Canberra is a long standing joke. Judges are the criminal’s best friend. What would you change?
What single issue in Canberra do you see as in need of change the most?
if elected, what specific policies do you plan to implement that will reduce rates?
In light of another woeful decision where a Canberra man has avoided gaol for crashing and killing his wife while high on cannabis what will you do to fix the ongoing joke that the judiciary has become in this town over the last decade?

What would you do to improve:
– crime resolution rates (currently worst in country)
– ED performance at TCH (currently worst in country)
– public transport (ACTION lose money hand over fist every year)
– cost of buying a house (third highest average)
– cost of car registration (most expensive in Australia)
– high cost of petrol (the highest in a capital city)
…just to name a few ongoing issues.
You do know he is in the opposition, don’t you?

Given the corruption findings by NSW ICAC in relation to the former NSW Government, and every NSW council around the ACT, do you think we are immune for corruption? Should the ACT have an ICAC?
Do you think 24,000 ACT Public Servants is too many?
Does Alistair Coe have pubes yet?

Would you rather fight 100 duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck?
And why?
Jeremy, as the new leader of the ACT Liberals, what will you do to try and make the party appeal to more voters as a real and viable alternative to the current ACT Labor Govt?
Do you believe that the ACT receives adequate compensation for the health and other services which it provides to residents of NSW? If not, do you see any realistic options for achieving a better outcome for the ACT, particularly under the devolutionary/local management options being proposed by the federal Coalition?
Jeremy, how are you going to deal with ACT Housing cheats if you get into office? Like, fixing up ACT Housing’s systems so that people occupying $700,000, inner-city 3 bedroom houses solo on welfare can no longer work for 21 out of 26 weeks, then submit their income as welfare only for the six months and then pay fifty bucks a week for the whole period?

Haha I’d like to know that as well.
Jeremy, I respect you a heap bro. I once talked to you on my doorstep and another time at cooleman court and another time at deakin shops. Problem was that religious zelout, developers friend zed was leader. I could not give my vote to anyone associated with that.
Now you are leader, most of my businesses work is from government contracts. If libs were to get in, would they protect these jobs or slash public maintenance like has been done in the past?
Wasn’t there something about brevity?
Anyway, Jeremy: Zed gave away the last election long before election day by shutting the Greens out. Back tracking after election day came too late and looked desperate. Will you be more open to doing a deal next election, or will power in your own right be the only way?

The answer to your question came from ACT Treasury today, namely a massive defecit to be funded.
The choices are to increase rates or cut expenditure (it’s not rocket science).
Why is your party happy for ACT motorists to pay the highest TPI in Australia? Are you protecting the income of the local legal fraternity?
Haha I’d like to know that as well.
