ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Mawson earlier today (Sunday, February 24).
Around 11.45am a man armed with what appeared to be a bolt-action rifle entered the Swinger Hill supermarket and made threats to a staff member, demanding cash.
The staff member complied with the man’s demands, and he fled the area with a small sum of cash. No persons were hurt during the incident.
The man fled the area driving a silver Hyundai Excel which has a miniature rear spoiler.
The man is described as between 180-186cm (6’0”-6’2”) in height, with a solid build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white hooded jumper, long brown pants, sunglasses and black gloves. He had an Australian accent.
