ACT Policing is investigating the death of a young girl at a local swimming pool this morning (Saturday, March 23).
About 12.20pm today, police were called to Calvary Hospital after the young girl had died.
It was reported to police that around 11.20am, ACT Ambulance Service attended the Canberra International Sports and Aquatics Centre (CISAC), and transported the girl to Calvary Hospital.
ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations Detectives are investigating the circumstances around the death however at this stage do not believe her death is suspicious.
AFP Forensic Services is conducting an examination of the scene.
