Thanks for feedback everyone I looked up Chicago Charles but he is way too expensive 1600 for 6 hours. Of course I want someone talented, I like the sound of acoustic guitars as I find them more subtle to listen to than electric guitar or an overpowering band.

Have you tried going to places like Thursday night (Musos Night) at the potbelly or some of the other bars and clubs in Canberra, some of the bands and solo artists at these places are very talented and should be pretty approachable.

Hi Mickeyp, checkout the band Casual Sets. They had a stall at the Bridal Expo and I think the lead singer is an MC. They said they do acoustic covers too.
