ACT records 799 new COVID-19 cases

The ACT has recorded 799 new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8 pm yesterday, including 456 identified by PCR and 343 by rapid-antigen tests (RAT).

There are now 45 people in hospital, including 3 in intensive care.

The vaccination rate for the ACT’s five-plus population is 97.2 per cent and 72.4 per cent of residents aged 16 and older have received a booster.

NSW recorded 17,450 new cases and 1 death in the last 24 hours.

Victoria recorded 7,466 new cases and 5 deaths.
