I just noticed this on the Canberra Times.
Well, I love fish, I love balloons and I love boobs but… i’m not so sure about combining all 3.

It’s strange, slightly disturbing, and not related to Canberra in any particular way. That’s why it’s good. Go, Skywhale!
Perhaps it’s a celebration of Summernats.
What it needs is a lot of smaller balloons depicting Japanese people running after it with cleavers and chopsticks.
When are we going to say; “Enough’s enough! Stop wasting public money on these charlatans and their crap.”
I bet those summernats lads are regretting their lack of specificity when yelling “tits out for the boys” now.
Stupid stupid stupid.
And we wonder why the rest of Australia thinks we are idiots.

This tittytortoise has nothing to do with Canberra, and has to be the most embarrassing balloon i’ve ever seen – if it was a balloon shaped like Robyn Archer’s head with a condom over it being blown up by her nose it would have more to do with Canberra than this monstrosity….
You don’t picture well-heeled Canberran public servants supping from the nipple of the Real Australian tax-paying skywhale?
Dont public servants pay tax? Any chance to have a crack hey?? Dont take yourself so serious, there is already a bit of talk about it, I am sure the silly public servants wouldn’t mind the chatter about Canberra.
I think that was irony?

Wow! That’s…different.
If it is, in fact, Canberra’s balloon, I predict it’ll generate more discussion that our street art.

So for Canberra’s centenary, we weren’t allowed a lasting piece of public art that was to be related to Canberra and its history (remember that? http://info.cmcd.act.gov.au/archived-media-releases/media10ba.html?v=7213&s=185), but we get a balloon that by all appearances isn’t?
