Police have arrested a 20-year-old male for aggravated robbery in Belconnen early Saturday morning (February 19).
Around 2am the victim and alleged offender went for a walk in Howie Court, where the alleged offender produced a knife. The victim handed over his property including a wallet, sunglasses, prescription glasses, hat and mobile telephone.
Around 3.10pm on Saturday afternoon (February 19) a search warrant was executed on the alleged offender’s address. Police seized a number of items including suspected stolen property, a cannabis plant and cannabis seeds.
The 20-year-old male was taken to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with aggravated robbery. He was bailed from the Watch House under strict conditions and will face ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday, February 24.
