You must be a copper or you live on another planet Tooks, because evreybody who lives in the Erindale area knows what I have said is serious.

Wow I worked in and around Erindale for the last four years, every time I was there I saw a copper. It was all hours of the night, all year round, I was never mugged, beaten, blown up, raped or the victim of a terrorist plot.

Erindale Police station to reopen? Hmm. You do realise that the Greenway Station is on the same road as Erindale yeah? Like the exact same road?

So you were serious. Erindale a no-go zone after dark? I can only assume you’ve never lived in a bad area. Erindale isn’t even the worst part of Wanniassa, which overall is a pretty safe suburb; to say otherwise indicates you’ve lived a pretty sheltered life. It is well patrolled, especially at night.

Oh, and who is going to staff the Erindale police station who want reopened? Who is going to pay to have it refurbished?

Why’s it a waste of time? If it’s serious enough, police will turn up. Upper Tuggeranong? You live about 4km from Tuggy CBD and its police station.

Erindale and pretty much the Tuggeranong Valley are encountering more of these crimes because there are no police patrols in the Tuggeranong anymore. I cannot remember the last time I saw an actual “patrol” – car or foot – in Tuggeranong, day or night. I don’t blame the police for this, they don’t have the numbers or the supposed budget anymore for “patrols”, the blame lies with actgovco and the stresshead police minister relying on speed cameras to do all the police work.

Whilst they need evidence that is easy to obtain when you walk over the centre those unfortunate little thieves spend their time at and ask the victim to identify them because those turds are not known for their intelligence and no that is not aboriginal bashing but frankly anyone that perpetrates crimes such as these is obviously an idiot whether they be black, white or green.

I too would like to see an increased police presence at E’dale – there seems to have been a recent influx of annoying beggars. My teenage daughter who works at E’dale said she had to hide from one the other day (early evening, when she finished work and was waiting for me to pick her up). Not good.

Crime stoppers isn’t an attendance line, you won’t get any priority of attendance through that one. You need to call the operations line for the police if you want them to come and visit.

Personally, I am at Erindale at night regularly and haven’t felt threatened, I am sure it occurs but I haven’t seen anything to worry about.
