ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in Erindale yesterday afternoon (Monday, May 9) in which a 15-year-old woman was assaulted and had her mobile phone stolen.
About 4.30pm the victim was walking past the Erindale library when she saw a group of about eight youths in the courtyard outside the library. Two of the women from the group approached the victim and asked her for some money.
After the victim told the women she didn’t have any money, one of the offenders demanded the victim hand over her mobile phone. The victim refused and began to walk away when she was shoved by one of the offenders and had her phone taken from her.
The first offender is described as Aboriginal in appearance, aged 16 to 17 years, approximately 160cm (5’3”) tall with a medium build. She was wearing a pink sweater with dark coloured writing on the front, grey tracksuit pants and skate shoes.
The second offender is described as Aboriginal in appearance, aged 16 to 17 years, approximately 165cm (5’5”) tall with a slim build. She was wearing a brown sweater with black writing, and dark coloured tracksuit pants.
