Ben & Jerry’s Open Air Cinema has posted up the above video which looks quite pleasant.
Tonight they’re showing Django Unchained. Anyone checked it out yet?

I’m all for audience participation. People sang along with the songs. Plenty of people got up and did the Time Warp. Fun was had by all. That doesn’t, in my mind, extend to having someone saying each and every line prior to it being said on the screen..
True Rocky Horror fans should not only scream out the lines that are said on screen, but also scream out responses to those lines which have evolved over the years. (known as ‘callbacks’) Of course if you don’t know the normal ‘callbacks’ it is also quite acceptable to just yell out any response at all.
There should also be several groups actually acting out the entire movie, during the movie, usually one near the screen and a couple on either side. Each trying to be louder and more over the top than the other.
Tell me, did you get hit by any burnt toast, rice, or water during the performance?
If you didn’t then there were no true fans there.

It appeared that they just wanted to impress their friends with how many times they had seen it before.

I saw Rocky Horror there on Friday night. I enjoyed myself, though found the price of $19.90 (incl. booking fee, grrr!) to be too steep. The only other annoyance was the few individuals around us who found that singing along to the songs wasn’t enough, they also had to talk along with every single line of the movie. I know that it is a cult film, but having someone nearby parroting each line, and in many cases saying the line prior to it being said in the film, is enough to send anyone around the bend.
Audience participation is something that’s expected at a RHPS screening, it’s part of the fun.

Would recommend to anyone who likes an outdoor picnic with a bit of entertainment. Though if you plan on having any of the icecream, make sure you buy early. After they put up the notice that the bar would be closing in 15 minutes, the line become enormous.
