complete with the two long tubular engine bits on the top.
I love it when people get technical.

Oh, on number plates… there’s a tool going around with ‘player’ can’t remember the make of car..
It’s on a red Ferrari of some description. Every time I see it I have to laugh and shake my head.
I think it is a black Ferrari. Saw the car at the Helenic Club, and (presumed) driver inside – literally had the Ferrari key ring hanging out of his top pocket!

Love it. As an old time trekkie (NCC 1701D or E please!)…
Clearly you are a Trekkie and not a Trekker, as ‘old-time’ is NCC-1701 or courtesy of the movies NCC-1701A thankyou very much.
C’mon….people you’re…….dealing…..with nerds here.[/shatner]

I think I’ve seen a white VW with this plate … not sure where it was though. 🙂

Love it. As an old time trekkie (NCC 1701D or E please!), Picard was so much the statesman, as opposed to Kirk the hustler! lol
Star Wars is good too, in a different way.
Oh, on number plates… there’s a tool going around with ‘player’ can’t remember the make of car. or the guy with ‘my car’ well duh.
or any of the people with the make of the car……

Pretty sure this is the is one of the best number plates I’ve ever seen!
My favourite Canberra number plate is ‘DAD 747’. Still silly, I know. But so much better than “Mike 1984”.
I saw one in Waramanga that was ‘PMS 247’

This is why we can’t have nice things.

But what about the hyphen after NCC? We can’t just have people leaving hyphens out willynilly. It’d be anarchy!
I stand humbly corrected and agreeably concur. Apostrophes, be they misplaced or missing, are more my thing. Like the “buses and taxi’s” I saw at the Westpac entrance of Woden Westfield earlier today.

Well a hypen with a letter wouldn’t necessarily be needed for the very first model.

(I just wish the motto underneath was ‘Canberra – The Final Frontier’)
One of the best I ever saw was on a sporty little coupé. The car was a sort of pinky-purple colour. The number plate: RHUBARB.
The second best: YID 10T.

I’ve seen this on another car ( I think) before in Gungahlin and I was all like
“NERD!!!!”
Then I realised that I understood what it meant – So I was equally as bad.
Although… To be fair. The main reason that I know it is because that was a cheat code to a video game back in the early 90s. It wasn’t until years later that I realised what the code actually meant.
Pretty sure this is the is one of the best number plates I’ve ever seen!

Yes, and where is that hyphen? My inner Trekkie nitpicker insists that one be put in place.

I’m kind of surprised to see it on a blue (not white!) commodore instead of a prius or something.

You should be thankful. Their Starship Enterprise on Star Trek had the ID code NCC-1701

i’ll be more forthcoming and blunt than trevar; what’s this then – ploise ixplain..? [as a brunette once muttered]
The true tragedy of this is there is not more space on the plate for another character – then other nerds could share the joy by specifying a particular make of ship.
The plate, the post and the comments have all gone over my head. Should I attempt to understand them, or should I be thankful?
