Cupboard hiding fail in Lyneham

ACT Policing have arrested a 28-year-old Lyneham man after responding to a disturbance last night.

Around 10.30pm yesterday (Thursday, 21 July) police arrived at a house in Lyneham to find a male victim suffering serious facial lacerations and possible fractures.

The victim was able to identify his alleged attacker, whom police located a short time later hiding inside a cupboard in a neighbouring house.

While searching for the male, police also located a number of items which had been stolen from the victim.

The 28-year-old man was conveyed to the ACT Watch House and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, burglary, resist arrest and make threats towards a Commonwealth Official.

Now *that* is a really good point. The really successful criminals make a mozza conducting their business right out in the open, engaging in perfectly legal activities while screwing their customers, the environment etc.

How many of the fancy dancers from our big corporate crashes have ended up in the slammer? A few perhaps, but not nearly as many as there should be.

What this story fails to mention it that he was caught hiding IN HIS OWN HOUSE! And you guys are forgetting about the stolen property that was recovered.
So this story is about a disturbed burglary by the neighbor.

Assault occassioning actual bodily harm equates to a lovers tiff? how 19th century of you.

Okay then…………….a lovers quarrel?

Quarrel does not generally involve actual bodily harm.

If they were lovers, it would be domestic violence. Words like quarrel and tiff downplay a very serious issue.

I think you’ll find that I have never down-played any assaults, serious or not. So, let’s call it a serious ‘lovers’ quarrel.

That’s all I’ve got.
