It’s the first weekend of summer!
What should we see? What should we do?
Woe is all unless the RiotACT hive mind can come up with some entertainment options in the comments!

Good to know about the Sunday QBN games as I missed them on the website too.
Can I point out that links to events on Facebook aren’t much good for those who do not have Facebook accounts?
Perhaps someone should copy the relevant details to RiotACT?

Cherry Festival (Young)
Think this was all week-end, but might just have been Saturday – was still asleep when heard it on ABC 666 this morning.
Braidwood Film Festival
Not sure if that’s it’s real name, but they’re showing a collection of films that were made in Braidwood in Braidwood this week-end. The main one involving them closing down the main street and putting up a big screen etc. Once again, hopefully someone else can provide the detail as I heard this also while still asleep.

Events please, not arguments on global car production.
We are talking 60’s era cars here, hence they are British. And as for Triumph, they no longer make cars. MG also have disappeared in recent years. I would still consider Aston Martin and Jaguar to be British since they are still built in the UK. Thats like saying Holden is an American car because they are a part of GM. Globalisation is a bitch. If you are disgusted that TVR is now owned by a Russian, then maybe this event (or any for that matter) isn’t for you.
H1NGO it’s interesting to note that of all the marques you mentioned, none are now British. (Triumph cars is owned by BMW)
Does this mean that thousands of British ‘Lager Louts’ are about to descend on Canberra to see the cars, boosting the local economy as they go?
I blame Canberra Goss for the contents of that photo.
Their power is . . . awesome!
Don’t forget to drive your most petrol-hungry vehicles to the Walk against Warming.
THIS SATURDAY, 6th December
11.30am
City Walk (near the fountain)
The Terribly British car show is on on the lawns of the Parliamentary Trangle near the National Library. Lots of great classic British cars to be seen such as MG, Triumph, Aston Martin and Jaguar. Come along if that is your thing.
