And thankyou Pork Hunt for your research efforts. I was most happy with Spectra’s use of the word ‘gunnel’ even though I could only guess at its meaning. Gunnel makes a refreshing change from ‘in terms of’ which is the adult form of teens inserting ‘like’ as a word spacer.

Yeah, the word is actually pronounced in normal usage as “gunnels”, much like boatswain is pronounced “bosun” and Purser is pronounced “Pusser”. Anybody who announced “This boat is loaded to the gun-whales!” would be looked upon as an idiot by any sailor/mariner/seafarer/wet person.

Nautical folks have got a lot to answer for.

He probably didn’t have enough time to speed up the footage and dub the benny hill chase music over the top.
