No… and it wasn’t at Stage 88. Though I would love to hear your suggestions as to how the promoter could adjust ticket prices depending on the weather!

For comparison, some major international acts just been or coming soon;
Ben Folds – $97
Eddie Vedder – $109
Good Charlotte – $89.90
James Blunt – $99.10
Weird Al – $99.90

So yeah, $95 is not unreasonable I would say.

There was a small seated area, as well as larger areas set aside for BYO seating. All you had to do was take your comfiest camping chair and get there at a reasonable hour to bags your spot.

Chris Isaak was bloody awesome, and I’m not even a fan! Just a really well rehearsed, fun and entertaining set the likes of which you rarely see these days. Sound was really good too.

Only downside was, as usual, Canberra crowds don’t know a great show when it smacks them in the face! Bloody prudes…

Personally I went to the INXS concert last Saturday evening and the weather was fantastic (we cannot control the weather would have been very cold and wet this Saturday night though poor Frankie Valli fans would have been soaked)

I enjoyed the concert very much and did my homework re seating etc before purchasing tickets. There were seats there and you could have taken chairs as well but we bought a picnic rug with us.

You mean the $95 tickets? That’s not an outrageous price for an international act, but the outdoor location and apparent lack of seating didn’t really appeal to me. I’d imagine that the value equation would be different for some people, though.
