Flip Out in Hume is hosting a fundraising event to support a local family affected by autism this Saturday 26 September.
Tickets cost $14 and include 90mins of trampolining. Parents can have a bounce or take a break while the kids burn some energy. There are smaller trampolines for younger children, and a giant foam pit to jump into for the more adventurous jumpers.
All money raised will help a local Canberra boy who is 5 years old. His name is Branson and he barely speaks due to his autism.
Branson’s family has to raise money to help with costs of moving him from Canberra to Sydney so that he can attend an autism specific, specialist ABA school. Without these funds, Branson’s chance of ever talking and becoming independent is going to remain very low.
Applied behavioural analysis (ABA) is the only method of teaching that is scientifically proven to improve cognitive, communication, adaptive and social skills in young children with autism, the evidence is based on 30 hours a week of intensive therapy – The specialist school in Sydney, is the only board certified ABA school in Australia that can provide the support Branson needs.
