Flynn house fire

ACT Fire & Rescue are currently on scene at a house fire on Bird Street, Flynn.

Crews have extinguished the fire and are searching for any hot spots throughout the house.

Two adults, two children and a dog safely self evacuated.

No damage to neighbouring properties.

Fire appears to have started in an electric heater and spread through the flat roof space.

Three fire pumpers, the Breathing Apparatus Van and two commanders are on scene.

Smoke and heat damage through the three bedroom house. Estimated damage $200,000.

Time of Emergency Triple Zero (000) call 1.48am.

ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics are also on scene supporting operations with no injuries reported.
