ACT Policing has arrested a 22-year-old Nicholls man after a man was stabbed in Civic overnight.
Police will allege an altercation occurred between the two men outside a pizza store on London Circuit around 3am today (Saturday, July 16).
Police attended the store shortly after the incident occurred, where the alleged offender had been detained and disarmed by security staff from a nearby licensed premise.
The 28-year-old male victim was taken to Calvary Hospital for treatment of lacerations to his hand and stomach. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The 22-year-old man was also taken to Calvary Hospital for treatment of injuries to his hand, before being taken to the ACT Watch House to be held in custody.
The alleged offender is expected to be charged later this afternoon with possessing an offensive weapon with intent and intentionally wounding.
