Giralang grass fire

ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT Rural Fire Service is currently working to extinguish a grass fire burning at William Slim Drive and the Barton Hwy, Giralang.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT Rural Fire Service have six units on scene.

The fire is located near grass and pine trees

The fire is approximately 100 metres x 50 metres in size and is under control.

The fire is burning at a slow rate.

The Fire Danger Rating where this fire is burning is LOW-MODERATE.

Fires burning in LOW-MODERATE conditions can be easily controlled.

There is little to no risk to life and property in the urban or rural areas of the ACT.

Grass fire has been extinguished.

Crews will depart the scene shortly after mopping up operations.
