ACT Policing is calling for witnesses to an aggravated robbery that took place in Reid yesterday evening, Tuesday 26 June.
About 5.20pm a woman was walking through Glebe Park towards the gate at the intersection of Corranderrk and Amaroo Streets in Reid, when she was approached by a man with a knife demanding money.
After the woman handed over a sum of cash, the man turned and walked away.
The woman did not sustain any injuries during the robbery.
The woman then flagged down a man driving a white van on Corranderrk Street, however the driver could not understand what she was saying and drove away.
The offender is described as 170cm tall, very skinny and weak looking, and about 25-years-old. He was wearing a light grey coloured beanie and plain light grey hooded jumper, black pants and slip on shoes.
The man walked in a strange way dragging his feet. He had an unusually thin bottom lip, small face and eyes and low eyebrows. The man also had a large amount of spit around his mouth when he spoke, with a possibly Australian accent.
Anyone who may be able to assist with the investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
