ACT Policing is calling for witnesses to multiple reports of property damage to vehicles in Gungahlin on Saturday afternoon (January 12).
ACT Policing responded to reports of property damage around the Doris Turner Street Forde area at 7.35pm. During the incident a member of the public apprehended a 21-year-old male and female who were subsequently handed over to police.
Damage included the egging of motor vehicles along Horsepark Drive and Majura Road.
Officer-in-Charge of Gungahlin Station Sergeant Jeff Knight said if your vehicle was damaged on Saturday afternoon ACT Policing would encourage you to contact Police Operations on 131444.
“While this matter may seem trivial, it is distressing for the victims to find their property damaged by this senseless act. We would encourage people to report the matter as we have apprehended two people for this act,” Sergeant Knight said.
Anyone who may have witnessed the damage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the website at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
