FOUND: Have you seen Raymond? Major police operation underway at Duntroon to find missing man

UPDATE 9 April 5:25 pm: Police have announced Raymond has been found safe and well and have thanked the community for their assistance.

9 April 11:40 am: A major search began at the area around Duntroon on Wednesday (9 April) in an attempt to find a missing man.

Raymond Hingston, 48, has not been seen or heard from since about 9:30 am on Tuesday (8 April), an ACT Policing spokesperson said.

He was last believed to be in the Duntroon area.

On Wednesday, a police operation began at the area near the military college as part of the search to find him.

“Approximately 30 to 40 people from ACT Policing, ACT SES and military police are assisting with the search,” a police spokesperson said.

Mr Hingston was described as Caucasian in appearance with a pale complexion, medium build and short balding hair.

“Raymond is likely on foot and does not have a mobile phone with him,” the police spokesperson said.

“Police hold serious concerns for his welfare and are requesting the public’s assistance to locate him.”
