ACT Policing has arrested five people overnight moments before they were about to commit an alleged home invasion.
Police received information that a number of people were organising a home invasion in Florey. Members from ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations and Specialist Response and Security (SRS) responded.
SRS intercepted a white Holden Commodore as it entered the street in Florey about 8.30pm with five occupants. All five were arrested and taken to the ACT Regional Watch House.
A 36-year-old Macquarie man has been charged with drive while disqualified and a 23-year-old Curtin man has been charged with possess prohibited substance. Both will face the ACT Magistrates Court on May 27. A 16-year-old male was later released and will be summonsed for possess prohibited substance.
A 26-year-old Spence woman and 18-year-old Torrens man have been charged with Conspiracy to commit an aggravated burglary. The woman is due in court on May 26 with the 18-year-old facing the ACT Magistrates Court today.
