Influx of Rebel Bikers over the weekend?

I’ve just heard from a friend of a friend that the AFP are expecting the arrival of a bunch of Rebel motorcycle gang members over the coming weekend.

Would anyone be able to confirm or deny this? If it’s true, what’s the big occasion?

Just drove past the club house. Hundreds of them being noisy and annoying. A single police car keeping a eye on them.

I was stuck in traffic in Pialligo while they came through. They had quite a police reception (initially I thought it was going to be some important foreign person being escorted to the airport) – apparently last time they came through they didn’t bother stopping at red lights.

After picking up some supplies at Bunnings in Fyshwick I saw the police even had their “beast” on patrol (http://region.com.au/canberra-gets-a-beast-behold-the-lenco-engineering-armoured-rescue-vehicle/44778). Driving past the petrol station a bunch of them had just stopped right in the middle of the road to consult a map or something – with Canberra traffic coyly and discretely queuing patiently behind these gentlemen…

Drove back from Sydney today: 2 major chokepoints established – the first near Nepean Dam, the second before the Majura Rd turnoff. Moderate disruption at both, plenty of police and the occasional smattering of bikers (some Rebels, others without ‘colours’). Quite a few plainclothes / unmarked cars along the way as well.

If there’s going to be a flood of hoodlums rolling into town over the weekend, and the cops are putting on extra hands to prepare for it then that seems like something to be aware of.

Its a LWE, police are currently on a speeding blitz, a few extra bikies in town, big fricken deal. Be sure to stay indoors, no one wants to smell your sh*t stained pants should a group of ‘hoodlum’ ride past you on their bikes.

If she has had a partner or in this time, he will leave her for someone less fertile with normal colored hair as he would not possibly believe how any of this has occurred.

And that is why we have some single mothers on the Northside and lots of motor events.
