A 28-year-old woman was assaulted yesterday morning (Wednesday March 16) as she was walking around Lake Ginninderra in Belconnen.
About 6.45am the woman was walking towards the Belconnen Town Centre, on the bike path between Macdermott Place and Beissel Street, when she was grabbed from behind by a man.
The man has attempted to drag the woman into nearby bushes however the woman screamed and managed to free herself. The man has then walked away, heading towards the Belconnen Town Centre.
The man is described as Caucasian, in his late 20’s, approximately 6’ tall and of average build. He has short, dark brown hair with side burns, olive skin and clean shaven. The man was wearing a black leather jacket or similar, with a grey camouflage style hooded jumper underneath, grey cargo pants and he was carrying a brown leather satchel style bag across his body.
