We’ve certainly been getting a lot of vapour trails over town the last few days.

Looks like the CT has been reading RA again… even down to the chemtrail conspiracies.
I took a couple of pictures out at Tuggeranong Town Centre- I’ll see if I can upload them.
One good thing that’s been shown is that the chemtrails (apart from looking pretty nifty on a clear day) actually do form a “barrier” to keep the earth a bit cooler, when they stopped planes flying into America after the 9/11 crashes the temps actually went up a few degrees. So air pollution may be a saviour for global warming perhaps?
Strange little world we live in.
I think they are beautiful. Man and nature collide (or not, judging by the flight paths depicted)
I noticed a few the other day, enough to be ‘noticeable’ anyway, but THAT is amazing Al!
It’s not a crazy theory if both Prince and Beck both believe it… /s

Well, you can all laugh as much as you want; but don’t you think it’s interesting that we had an election in the ACT last weekend, and then this weekend we get a huge cluster of chemtrails overhead?
The truth will be told!

Well, we did just elect another hung parliament. Coincidence? I think not.
Yeah, got sunburnt today admiring that sky. The contrails were blooming up huge and blowing slowly and very evenly towards the West-NorthWest.
It was especially good very early on (although there were less trails) when the sun was shining low and parallel to the contrail from the E-N-E, causing a huge long shadow to extend out the front of each of the Melbourne-bound planes.
It reminded me that in the days following 9/11 when all US airtravel was grounded, the average insolation measured across the USA increased by about 3%. We wouldn’t get a fraction of the contrail cover the Yanks get, but it does show that those contrails have a significant cooling effect on our climate
Maybe this can give people ideas on how to counteract the CO2-induced warming that’s occurring?

Aren’t contrails supposed to fade relatively quickly?
Depends entirely on the prevailing weather. If the air up there is still and stable they can hang around for ages.
Now get ready for the chemtrail loonies to come out of the woodwork.
Further, the prevailing air temperature will have a huge effect. The exhaust gas temperature of a jet airliners engines will be about 900 deg C. The bigger the difference between that and the moisure laden air, the more spectacular the contrails will be.

I was looking at the sky today and wondering why there were so many trails…..some lingered and spread throughout the sky over hours..
