With Anzac Day 2014 upon us, and all of the clubs in Canberra gearing-up for a massive day – the Lanyon Vikings Club is scheduled to open its doors to the new “S Bar”. The official media release calls it a “massive transformation to downstairs”.
Patrons on Anzac Day have been told to expect a contemporary space adorned with plush furniture and exciting new technology, a TAB area, an inviting bar and lounge space with big television screens and state-of-the-art sound, and an eye-catching sports wall.
For Vikings Group CEO, Anthony Hill, the renovations and the opening of the new S Bar have been long awaited. “We are really giving our Members and the community a club to be proud of. The new bar is not your typical suburban club environment – it is modern, open planned and has been designed with our Members needs in mind”, he stated.
Hidden gems are a rarity in Canberra but the new S Bar, tucked away in the Tuggeranong Valley screams “best kept secret”.
