please tell me you are being funny maelinar, I would hate for you to have missed this one….
This sign made an appearance in a book called Signspotting 2, a book of hilarious signage from around the world put out by Lonely Planet. It (the sign) has been around for years.

and neither is it actually very funny in australia, where we spell it ‘arse’..?
I think American Asses are just as funny as Australian Arses. I guess you wouldn’t call me anal about such things.

Surely they’ve taken it down by now. Actually it gets worse, take a look at the golden arches again, you don’t need much imagination to see it as looking down on someone bending over butt naked with their arse crack showing! I’ll never see macca’s the same way again!
Supercalafreakinawesome. If they ever decide to change the name of a nightclub in town named after a geometric shape they could just steal this sign. Much more appropriate.

That is so old it’s not funny. Pics of that sign have been on the net for years.
The sign has been there so long that my mum remembers it from when I was a kid. From memory it was taken down for a while then put back up.
I’ll never be good enough for the internet.
The sign is maybe 10 or 15 km on the Yass side of Gunning (on the Hume therefore most Canberrans wouldn’t drive past). It is also easy to miss as the roadside vegetation conceals it from most angles.
The older sign made its appearance on Hey Hey sometime ago (15 yrs?)
I’ve never seen it, what a classic !
Some people would love to be regular like that.
Where is this sign? I do the CBR Melb trip often, and don’t recall seeing it! (Who said advertising doesn’t work! 🙂

What’s with the “Sports & Outdoor” sign below the main sign, I this somehow also cryptically part of the joke?
Sports & Outdoor Media Pty Ltd — the advertising company responsible for the sign.

As Noel Gallagher once said “So what if someone’s thrown a TV out of a hotel room before, so what if ‘it’s been done before’. I haven’t done it before”.
That is so old it’s not funny. Pics of that sign have been on the net for years.
Maybe so, but this is the first time someone has drawn my attention to it.

I never actually thought about this. F–kin hell! That’s a cack and a half right there.
I will never pass this sign with a straight face again … hilarious!
: D
I don’t travel to Yass but if I did this is the kind of sign that I would stop to take a photo of and send it into Hey Hey its Saturday or did that finish recently?
Mael – Don’t forget cash money or PIN Number. All funny.
Hahahahahahahaha … obviously such a regular occurrence as to announce it to all who drives by, lol.
