May you eat and drink too much in festive cheer.
And we’ll get back to Rioting shortly.

“Yeah, Australians sledge all the time. No-one else does. In fact, no-one else in the history of the game has ever sledged.”
You’d look a lot smarter (at least to me) if you read the whole post before laying on the sarcasm. Focus on the third paragraph, which is only a single sentence after all, and concentrate really, really hard.
Because Kevin Pieterson isn’t a c*ck?
Sledging happens in Z grade cricket, princess. Get over it
I’m not a Pom, but I’m happy to see the wankers in the Australian cricket team cop a flogging. The more floggings the better, from my point of view. Hopefully it will be good for their souls, and teach them a little humility.
They’ve been a national disgrace for years, epitomizing everything that is *not* fair, decent and honorable in sport. If I ever need to point out to my kids how not to behave like a sportsman, I just point to the Australian cricket thugs, with their emphasis on “sledging” as a primary tactic for winning a match. “Sledging” is just a euphemism for foul abuse and unsportsmanlike behaviour, and it’s a stain on a great game. It’s also a sendoff offence in most of the junior sports that I’ve been involved in, and I think it should be that way for the professionals as well. They set a terrible example for our kids.
I know the Australians aren’t the only ones who engage in this crap, but it always seemed to me like they were the leaders of the pack.
I hope that a few years at the bottom of the league tables will teach those clowns some manners.
“Never mind, once you get rid of the captain, the vice captain, the selectors , the coach, and retire old Hussey, and teach your openers how to stay in for more than a couple of overs, and get some new bowlers in, you may have a chance.”
The sun shines on a dog’s ass a couple of times a year as well. Well done to the Poms, but you have had your asses handed to you each time you’ve tried to take the Ashes from us on home soil for the last 24 years.
And x 2 for the ‘are you on drugs’ re Hussey. Check his average for this series.
Never mind, once you get rid of the captain, the vice captain, the selectors , the coach, and retire old Hussey, and teach your openers how to stay in for more than a couple of overs, and get some new bowlers in, you may have a chance.
Sadly, there’s no come back to this.
“Charity? A fawning acquiescence to Pom superiority would be a better description.

“Hope everyone had a good Christmas, because this Boxing Day test match is pretty depressing (unless you’re a Pom).”
It’d be depressing enough being a Pom. If this takes some of the pain away, consider it charity.
Happy Festivus…or am I too early.
A Festivus for the restofus. I never miss the airing of grievances 🙂

I’m a bit sad at the moment – my wife just told me there isn’t really a Santa and that she’s been fooling me all these years.
Anyway, I have Easter to look forward to now and if anyone says that $%#@ing rabbit is fake watch out!
Yay. It is over for another year. I bet the shops will be stocking up on Easter stuff in the next few weeks…
Coming late to the party, I hope that everyone had a safe and happy solstice, and that the new year brings great prosperity to all.
Happy Boxing Day Sales folks 🙂 Good to see that Stanhope realises that people don’t want another day with their families when they really want to be at the shopping centre 😀
I hope you all haven’t over indulged and made yourselves sick! Happy Saturnalia.
Merry Christmas all – these are special times, make them count!
