Mugging kids in Pearce

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an alleged aggravated robbery in Pearce on Friday afternoon (March 8).

About 5.30pm two boys were walking along a laneway between Pethebridge Street and Marr Street Pearce, when a man stepped into their path holding a knife and demanded the pair hand over their belongings.

After they complied with his demands the man ran in the direction of Pethebridge Street but turned off the path shortly before reaching it, heading towards Beasley Street.

The offender is described as between 16 and 20 years old, Caucasian in appearance, 160cm (5’3”) tall, slim build and brown hair. He had a red jumper wrapped around his face, covering his nose and mouth, was wearing blue tracksuit pants but had no shirt on.

Anyone who saw a man matching the description of the offender around Pethebridge Street at the time of the offence is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
