I’m furious about the lack of signage in the Canberra Centre carparking notifying people that all-day parking fees for rooftop parking has gone up to $11a day.
Fair enough fees go up but some warning is appreciated.

And again today!! 20 minutes+ just to access the roof parking above Aldi!! How hard is it to fix the boom gates???
Seems to me that things must be going ok if the worst thing people have to complain about is paying for parking. Furious? Really?

The expense is one thing. Trying to find a working pay machine is another…
All too often the pay machines will accept either cash or card but not both. Very frustratingI asked a guy who was doing maintenance/repairs on one – about why there were so many problems?
He said “They (mirvac) are not prepared to spend the necessary money”Hardly a respectful client service relationship is it?
They’ve totally removed one of the pay machines now in the North Quarter multilevel, leaving just two and much longer lines. Just the stump remains.
Not sure how Mirvac is involved, Canberra Centre remains owned by the Queensland Government’s investment arm and the carpark is managed by Secure, a 3rd party.

Don’t know how Mirvac comes into this; the car park is operated by Secure Parking (loads of garages in Sydney)

The warning was a touch late – but I saw it last week. Although noticed this morning it still says $10 at the entry… The main reason I noticed is because it again took over 20 minutes to get to the roof!! That’s what I’m furious about!!!
The boom gates and ticket machines are constantly breaking down!

There where signs on some of the pay machines last week. Get over it, parking has only gone up a dollar.
This is right, there was a sign at the swipe machine to let you onto teh top level last week. I saw it, Random Poster Saw it.
Its only a dollar, I would hagte to see how angry you got when something bad actually happened.
