“What Im wondering though.. the first ACTION bus to leave after this is at 7:57 south or 8:13 northbound. Will there be security around when 500 people try and fit on a 60-seater bus, and then realise they have to wait nearly 3 hours for another bus, or risk the DUI?”
That’s the problem of the people who can’t get their sh*t together and arrange to get home after NYE.
If you haven’t gotten what you want by 0530 you’re either not going to, or what you get you’ll regret.
It’s p*ss easy to get home after NYE if you do even 30 secs of planning

Apart from the very heavy police presence, each bus carries a security guard at all times.
Maybe the second comment explains the first comment.
No security guards in taxis.
Good question. Apart from the very heavy police presence, each bus carries a security guard at all times.
AussieRodney – Last runs at 5:30. Ouch, someone’s going to have a late finish.
