ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an incident in Ngunnawal yesterday evening (Monday, December 17).
About 7.15pm a teenage girl was walking past the dentist at the back of the shops on Jabbanunga Avenue when a man called out to her.
The man was sitting in a maroon coloured sedan, similar to a Holden Commodore, and invited her to come over to his vehicle.
The girl declined but attempted to walk past the vehicle in order to get home.
As she walked past the car to get home the man attempted to grab her on the arm at which point she ran to her house and contacted police.
The man is described as having short brown hair with little sideburns, tanned skin and a muscular build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and was smoking a cigarette.
Anyone who saw a man matching the above description in the Ngunnawal area is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
