Office Liar?

News flash, vg is a sad, bitter man. Miss taking the statements? I thought you were into being part of the action directly nowadays anyway.

News flash, something happens in Civic on a Saturday night/Sunday morning. I think you will find Police also were taking statements on other days of the week as well, but don’t let that ruin your story

Scenes out the front of Mooseheads on Satrurday night at 12.30: police taking statements in their notebooks from women holding bags of ice to their heads. Civic was pretty feral that night.

I just have a question, isn’t this site about having a whinge, it’s been promoted as ‘an open forum, an ACT online soapbox’, so why oh why ‘notdingers’ would you make a comment like that… If you don’t like reading someone’s post, don’t… click the little red box in the right hand corner… Really I think everyone on this site has too much time on their hands, including myself, but that’s what this site is about…. isn’t it????

Really I think we all need to get a life, use our time more productively….. and the comment you make only really adds to comfirming you are also a ‘know it all busy body’, why else would you be on this site, ready other peoples comments!!!

It’s a STORY sezzle, people routinely exaggerate to make the story more interesting. Eight broken ribs is unlikely unless the fight involved a battering ram, but so what? Exaggeration is not lying, especially in the context of office chit-chat.

Get over it and stop stewing about it and releasing your suspicions and anger onto the unsympathetic ears here at RA.

I believe every office has to have a mandatory compulsive liar. Personally I welcome it for entertainment’s sake if nothing else. I like to feed fuel to the fire so to speak just to see how far they’ll take an obviously made-up/severely exaggerated story. Enjoy it while it lasts I say, because like Felix th Cat says, they’ll eventually get exposed for the attention whore that they are.

For the record, OUR office liar thinks he has people believing that he sometimes comes in on weekends by his own volition at 4am!!! Show me a person who really does that and I’ll show you a Persian rug gallery NOT having a sale….

Hate to burst everyones bubble, but i confirmed that there was an incident of this nature at the club on that night. I spoke to the security that were there on the night this morning.

The only way to be sure is to start a campaign of round the clock surveillance, set up a little tent in the bushes out the front of her house. Track her movements methodically in a little notebook. When you are sure she is asleep spend that time going through her garbage. She is bound to make a mistake eventually, and then BAM! She will be all yours…

…then seek professional help.

This is just another manifestation of the “all men are bastards” mentality. She made up the story to perpetuate the image of women as victims and how they are always being mistreated by those nasty old bushwacking males. The next time she tries to spin another yarn like this just tell her you have a Harbour Bridge you want to sell.

I would have thought the OP was at school, not in the workforce! Maybe it’s a night shift Maccas… staff intrigue and plotting.
