Impact Comics have posted copious pictures from their OtakuFest 2010.
It looks like a lot of silly fun was had in Garema Place.
Can you grok all the cultural references?

Gotta love cosplay conventions. The only time the basement dwelling uber nerds can mingle with hot women dressed as sailor moon.
Hot women don’t dress up as Sailor Moon.

I can also see Hiiragi Tsukasa from Lucky Star (image 6).
*spews coffee all over keyboard for being bettered*
*cough cough* Damit. I totally missed it… I guess I was looking for Konata.

No, I am not in self denial… I am not an Otaku!
I’ve always assumed anyone who knows what the word otaku means and isn’t Japanese must be an otaku themselves.
As for the pics, in addition to Ichigo and Haruhi who were already pointed out, I can also see Hiiragi Tsukasa from Lucky Star (image 6).
I’m pretty sure I spotted an akatsuki guy (Naruto) in one of the other pages as well.

You dont mean Haruhi Suzumiya?
Yes, correct.
I see now that there were quite a number of “blue sailor wear”. I was referring to this one.I see that your alias is very relevant to your interest…
Ah yes, I apologise.
And indeed it is. You are the first to ever realise this.

Haruhi – Girl in blue sailor wear
You dont mean Haruhi Suzumiya?
Girl in blue is one of the Sailors. Venus I think.
A quick wiki-ing as I was unfamiliar with the term Otaku, has shown it to be a “…Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests…”, which makes me think the addition of the word “fest” is redundant.
Oh my god… they’re doing the uma uma dance…
No, I am not in self denial… I am not an Otaku!
Bleach – Guy with the white mask
Haruhi – Girl in blue sailor wear
Naruto – People in orange. One of them has a Pakkun doll
Isn’t this just common knowledge??
