Police searching for man accused of taking girls' photos on bus

ACT Policing believe the man accused of taking girls’ photos on the bus could also be linked to an attempted sexual assault. Photo: Michelle Kroll.

ACT Policing has received information about a man allegedly taking photos of girls while on the bus between Rivett, Woden and the City.

It’s believed this same man may have also been involved in an attempted sexual assault of a teenage girl in Rivett, near Bangalay Crescent, on Tuesday evening (10 June).

The man is described as having an Indian or Middle Eastern appearance, with a heavy build, straight grey and dark hair, and a grey beard.

Officers are seeking more information about alleged acts of indecency against girls on public transport in the Weston Creek area.

Anyone who has observed behaviour similar to what has been described, or has information about the potential identity of the man, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, quoting reference number 8073681.

Information can be provided anonymously.
