ACT Policing arrested three adult males in the early hours of this morning May 25, 2010 after they allegedly committed two burglaries at commercial premises in two Canberra suburbs.
Between the hours of 2:13am and 2:50am this morning, police attended burglaries at a service station in Holt and a supermarket in Fraser, following alarm activations.
About 3:25am, a security guard working in the Gungahlin area observed persons acting suspiciously and notified police. Police stopped a white Ford Laser containing these persons in Ngunnawal after obtaining information regarding the vehicle’s movements from the security guard. The three males were occupants of the vehicle, which contained an amount of property alleged to have been stolen during the burglaries.
Two of the males, both aged 19 and of Ngunnawal and Murrumbateman respectively, will be charged with two counts of aggravated burglary and two counts of theft. The other male, aged 23 of Ngunnawal, will be charged with one count of aggravated burglary and one count of theft. They will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this afternoon.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the white Ford Laser or offenders at the premises, or may have seen or heard any other suspicious behaviour to contact Crime Stoppers
