
Chief Minister Gallagher has put forth word that the Arboretum is now host to Queanbeyan’s gift to this fair city, a sundial:
Chief Minister, Katy Gallagher, today joined the Mayor of Queanbeyan, Councillor Tim Overall, on top of Dairy Farmers Hill to unveil the latest addition to the National Arboretum Canberra and Queanbeyan’s gift to the national capital for its 100th birthday.
“I am pleased to accept the gift of an armillary sphere sundial from our close neighbour, Queanbeyan, in celebration of Canberra’s Centenary and Queanbeyan’s 175th birthday,” the Chief Minister said.
“Queanbeyan played a crucial role in supporting Canberra during its establishment and lobbying for Canberra to become the Australian National Capital.
