At RSPCA ACT, we have many beautiful animals searching for their perfect forever homes. This week, we’d love for you to get to know Lahni and Koda.
Dog of the Week: Lahni
Sweet Lahni is a girl desperately trying to find her human soulmate. She’ll present herself as joyous and happy but shy at first. But then take her to a place where you’re alone with her and she’ll rest her chin on your lap and look up to you as if to say, “Please stay”.
Devoted companion is a good way to describe the two-year-old Lahni. She enjoys going for a stroll on a leash and truly loves playtime. She’ll chase toys and balls for as long as you have to throw them for her!
Lahni’s perfect owner will spend lots of time with her. You’ll need a fenced yard and be keen to take a stroll, possibly with a game of fetch to keep her entertained. She’ll make it fun; we assure you of that.
Visit Lahni this weekend and note that this Saturday is a special RSPCA ACT Open Day where animal adoption fees will be discounted for one day only.

Cat of the Week: Koda
Koda is a wonderful example of what staff, volunteers and foster carers can achieve at RSPCA ACT. We receive hundreds, if not thousands, of stray cats each year, and Koda is proof that former stray cats can learn to like and live with humans!
Initially, this handsome guy was very unsure about people, but he’s come such a long way. The trick with Koda is food. He appreciates us as a food source and responds to getting fed treats and meals with love. He now comes looking for head pats and cuddles.
Koda has made the full transformation to people lover from cat lover, meaning he now needs to be the only cat in the house, as long as he has his own humans!
Come and meet Koda. We’ll show you how far he’s come, and in a settled, loving home, this guy will be a terrific pet for years to come.
