Dog of the Week: Thea
Look at this, sweetheart! She’s got a big heart and is a perfect example of a dog that needs a chance, and we’re sure she will be a fantastic family pet.
She’s a bit shy right now, certainly happy enough and friendly, but she lacks confidence. Perhaps she wasn’t given much of an opportunity to blossom and show her true self in life before she came to us, but take her out into the yard for a play, and it’s on! The joy is a thrill to see.
She’s a six-year-old American Bulldog who loves to get out and play and has a gentle nature; she needs a quiet home to give her some positive reinforcement and just watch this smushy-faced girl come to life.
Thea gets a bit of skin irritation, but it’s nothing. Baths and the right food will keep it in check. Come and meet this beautiful bulldog.

Chewy’s the life of the party – well, certainly of the RSPCA! Photo: RSPCA ACT.
Puppy of the Week: Chewy
Chewy has gone from being one of scores of puppies to the unofficial RSPCA ACT office pup. He’s everywhere. Except in his kennel.
When you come and see Chewy, someone will have to quickly phone the admin or marketing office to find him. One of our volunteer dog walkers does the rounds of our offices to see where he is to take him on his daily walks.
He’s so good around people, he’s well practised in car travel (literally curls up on the back seat and relaxes) and loves meeting new people (we took him into The Good Guys for a corporate thingy and he was super relaxed). Chewy is as socialised a puppy as you could adopt.
Now we’ve done all the hard yards, it’s over to you: come and adopt this little guy and enjoy a lifetime of pet ownership and love.
