Rugby World Cup - HD?

Just wanted to express my disappointment in SC10 not showing the Rugby World Cup in HD.

I’m surprised you can even buy the rights without showing it in HD.

I’m pro all sports – especially if both chicks are hot.

But, seriously*, Happy to watch the F1 as well, but if SC10 say it is HD, then they should put it in HD.

* Subtle plug for channel 10.

I think you meant to refer to me justbands. No worries. Although, I think the Italian Grand Prix would draw more interest than a Samoa vs South Africa walkover match. Each to their own.

Easy on PigDog….I wasn’t having a stab (& no, not the kind of person who beat anyone at all up!). I was just making the point that when there are multiple sports happening in the same timeslot, that the one with higher interest will usually win out.

Since they aren’t doing the rugby in HD, they could be doing the F1 in HD and showing the rugby at the same time in SD. Why don’t they do that?

Because our lame-arse federal pollies wet themselves when old man packer got on the blower and told them he didn’t want multi-channel broadcasting over free to air.

Has unfortunate consequences on his advertising revenue.

Packer Jr has seen the writing on the wall and is rapidly removing himself from the FTA TV business.

Ever stopped to think why they put Rugby (or AFL) ahead of car races? It’s because they rate better, people actually want to watch them. Basically, you’ll just have to get over it.

As long as I can see the ball – and the bloke who’s got it – then I’m happy. 16:9, 4:3, HD, SD – won’t help us win the RWC!
