More charges have been laid and another person has been arrested over a shooting in Theodore several months ago after a man handed himself in to police on Friday afternoon (10 May).
A 27-year-old man has been charged with aiding and abetting attempted murder after a man was shot and bullets were sprayed in Freda Gibson Circuit in Theodore on 2 March, in what police described as a “reckless shooting attack”.
The man faced the ACT Magistrates Court on Saturday morning (11 May) where he did not apply for bail.
The 27-year-old man is the second man arrested after the two-month investigation after police charged a Calwell man with attempted murder two weeks ago.
Police believe the shooting was due to a “significant disagreement” between parties, with links to bikie gangs.
As part of the investigation, police seized ammunition, explosives, a .3030 calibre lever action rifle and methylamphetamine during multiple raids in Canberra’s south.
The investigation is ongoing and police are not ruling out additional charges.
