ACT Policing’s Criminal Investigations (CI) team has today (Wednesday, February 20) seized a shotgun which had been secreted within the roof cavity of a residence in Deakin.
CI detectives investigating the unlawful discharge of a firearm in Griffith earlier today executed a search warrant on the Deakin house around 2.30pm. During the search they located the shotgun and ammunition. Police also seized three mature cannabis plants from the house.
A 27-year-old man was taken into custody this afternoon. He will undergo a forensic procedure and will be interviewed later this evening by police.
Investigations are ongoing.
