ACT Policing Homicide detectives are appealing to Canberrans for information about the unsolved murder of Susan Winburn which occurred between January 12-13, 2004.
If information provided leads to an arrest and successful prosecution of Susan’s killer, it could result in the payment of a $500 000 reward.
Susan was 45 years old when her sister found her murdered in her home at 81 Knoke Avenue, Gordon.
Her deceased and naked body was discovered in the bathtub after she failed to turn up to work that day. Susan had died as a result of strangulation.
She was last seen alive purchasing items from the Erindale Chemist in the Erindale Shopping Centre, Wanniassa about 7.10pm on Monday, January 12 2004.
Detective Leading Senior Constable Rick Gill believes there are people in the ACT community with information that will shed some fresh light on this case.
“We know there are people living in Canberra who have information about this murder and I strongly urge them to come forward,” Detective Leading Senior Constable Gill said.
“I would like them to think about Susan’s family and what the last nine years has been like for them; both Susan and her family deserve justice.”

An appropriate indemnity from prosecution will be considered for any accomplice who first gives information.
