Hi there,
I’m tasked with finding a venue for a conference dinner to be held in March.
I’m looking for a venue that seats 20-30 people, offers 3 courses for about $65’ish, in Civic (preferably the part closer to ANU).
Any ideas?

McDonalds at Exhibition Park offer a free conference room?
We did a two course meal – main and dessert to keep the costs down a bit. That allowed us to spend on a bit of wine etc. I thought for the money that dinner was pretty good to be honest.
Unfortunately once you are out at ANU anywhere is a bit of a walk. We had a group meal at The Parlour Room recently which was nice. There’s also A. baker. Or you could try Monster at the new Hotel Hotel…looks like a lovely space looking out over Parkes Way. Shared plates but that might reduce the bill for you. Other than that there’s the new QT Hotel.
Failing that try the pub on the corner at Moore Street (PJs?), or the Thai and steak places in London Circuit. Have used all of them for large groups and all been quite ok.
Sorry, I forgot to say that the conference is being held in University House. We initially looked at the Boffins restaurant as the venue, but it’s too expensive for us.
I’d prefer to find a venue within walking distance of University House, so I think Black Mountain Tower (formerly Telstra Tower) is a little far…
There is a new conference centre on level 3 Telstra Tower. They have meeting rooms as well as spaces for events. Views are great

Try the ANU. We had a conference dinner there last year and had a private room catered by the Boffins restaurant. We had about 20 attendees from memory at that dinner, but I believe they have bigger rooms.
