ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Mawson earlier today (Sunday, February 24).
Around 11.45am a man armed with what appeared to be a bolt-action rifle entered the Swinger Hill supermarket and made threats to a staff member, demanding cash.

The man fled the area driving a silver Hyundai Excel which has a miniature rear spoiler.
The man is described as between 180-186cm (6’0”-6’2”) in height, with a solid build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a white hooded jumper, long brown pants, sunglasses and black gloves. He had an Australian accent.
Anyone who may have been in the area at the time and can assist police with their investigation is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
