A 29-year-old Evatt man has died as a result of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle this afternoon (Saturday, 26 March).
About 3.40pm, ACT Policing responded to a report of a collision on the closed section of Tharwa Drive, Tharwa near Lanyon Homestead.
The male rider has collided with a fence whilst travelling southbound on Tharwa Drive.
ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team (CIRT) are currently investigating the cause of the collision.
This is the fifth fatality on Canberra roads for 2011.
