A breakdown of the latest appointments in the Australian Public Service and the ACT.

APS Senior Executive Service

Band 1

Katrina Dwyer has been appointed as Senior Assistant Ombudsman for Defence, Investigations, ACT and Legal at the Commonwealth Ombudsman.

Renee Collyer has been appointed as the new Assistant Director-General of Corporate Governance at the Australian Submarine Agency (ASA).

Ignatius McBride has been promoted to National Manager for Operational Analytics at the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre.

Sheriel Hughes is the new branch manager for program delivery at the Australian Digital Health Agency.

Other Federal Appointments

Since the federal election was called on 28 March, the Australian Government has been in a caretaker period in the lead-up to the election on 3 May. Until the new government is sworn in, government operations are conducted in accordance with the caretaker conventions, and there will likely be few appointments to key federal agencies.

The ACT

Jacqueline Agius has been reappointed as the ACT’s Work Health and Safety Commissioner for a further five years, until April 2030.
