For those of us without cable, does anyone have any recommendations for venues in Canberra that will be showing the Australia vs Uzbekistan semi final at 3:30am on Wednesday morning?
(thankfully it’s on Australia Day)?

Thanks. I also tried calling a few places and got the same responses, including the casino. Plenty of places, like Debacle, were packed for Australia’s group games in the World Cup, so it’s a pity the Asia Cup hasn’t been as well-publicised. looks like the streaming option will be the best bet.
licensed clubs cant operate their pokies after 4 am and i’m pretty sure they cant’ serve grog either. Sadly if your not doing either of these things its really not worth them keeping the place open
I just called the Dickson and Woden Tradies and they both said they will be closing at 4am (I think due to licencing restrictions) and therefore wont be playing the game – well apart from the first 30mins of it at best. This situation is pretty annoying. A tournament we have a shot at winning and we can’t see it. I also called a couple of football clubs and they aren’t playing it either.
The G&G Army website says Dickson Tradies, but you might need to remind the staff.
If you’ve got a bit of technical ‘know how’ with your computer (I’m not going into details here, the forums there are very helpful) you can visit http://www.myp2p.us/ to find peer2peer tv streaming.
After reading up on what to install (heaps of options) hit up the “Live Sports” tab at the top, followed by “Football”.
It’s how I’ve watched the previous two Euro champs and the previous Asian Cup…
