ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an attempted robbery at the North Lyneham Mini Mart yesterday evening (Thursday, September 5).
Around 7.30pm a man entered the store, removed a can of drink from the fridge and approached the counter.
The alleged offender then withdrew a small knife and threated the shop attendant demanding them to empty the cash register.
The shop attendant then activated the store alarm which caused the offender to flee on foot.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 6 feet (183cm) tall with a slim build.
He was wearing black wrap around sunglasses, a navy blue hooded jumper with white draw strings, dark grey shorts and grey sandshoes with white socks.
